งานของ บุคคลที่สาม (Third party) ถ้ามีอายุงานไม่ถึง 70 ปี เกือบทั้งหมดจะมีกฎหมายลิขสิทธิ์คุ้มครอง หากอยากนำมาใส่ในทีสิส จะต้องทำเรื่องขออนุญาต สรุปขั้นตอนแบบสั้นๆ ดังนี้จ้า 1. หาให้ได้ว่าผู้ครอบครองลิขสิทธิ์ที่แท้จริงคือใคร ส่วนใหญ่ก็คือสำนักพิมพ์ ถ้าภาพนั้นมาจากบทความเชิงวิชาการ ก็ให้มองหาสัญลักษณ์ ©  copyright หมายเหตุ สำนักพิมพ์ที่เป็น open source ส่วนใหญ่จะอนุญาตให้เอารูป หรือกราฟ หรือเนื้อหาไปใช้โดยไม่ต้องขออนุญาต copyright แต่อย่างไรก็ดี ควรตรวจสอบให้แน่ใจเสียก่อน 2. คลิกไปที่  น่าจะมีลิงค์แบบฟอร์มให้กรอกขออนุญาต     - เลื่อนหาคำว่า reprint and permissions  / เลือกรูปแบบการนำไปใช้ / กรอกแบบฟอร์ม / ตรงส่วนนี้ ถ้าสำนักพิมพ์ไม่ทำเอง ก็จะส่งลิงค์ไปเคลียร์ผ่าน Rightslink อีกที โดยที่ copyright clearance centre เลือก Rightlink / สร้าง account เตรียมไว้ก่อนได้ การขออนุญาตตึพิมพ์ในผลงานวิชาการ ส่วนใหญ่จะมีค่าใช้จ่าย = 0     -หากไม่มีการให้เคลียร์ผ่านสนพ. หรือ ผ่าน Rightslink อาจจะต้องส่งจดหมายขออนุญาตโดยตรงถึง 'right and permission department'...
